Y'all. This place is huge. And there is so. much. seafood.
There was octopus and squid and mussels.
There was beautiful red snapper.
There were salmon heads. What does one do with salmon heads, exactly?
There were enormous piles of shrimp at each little shop.
Check out the Lobster Shrimp on the far right.
Insane.
We walked around for a while and I am so sad I didn't get a picture of the crabs. So so many crabs. I had never seen anything like it.
We settled on oysters.
Check out those prices.
And the oysters at home.
We also got crab balls and hush puppies. The oysters were just alright and the crabs balls were awful. Don't do it. The hush puppies were delicious and reminded me that we don't eat enough hush puppies. But can you really eat enough hush puppies?
I didn't think so.
We'll be back to the fish market but will probably stick to shrimp and crabs like everyone else. Seemed like they were on to something.

This makes me want to go to the fish market so bad! I like going to Cantina Marina for lunch then picking up fresh seafood to cook at home for dinner.
ReplyDeleteThat does sound like an awesome day. Thanks for stopping by, Suzie!
